Will I be given exercises to do?

You will be given a series of exercises (movements) in order to speed up your recovery and prevent recurrence of the injury. All exercises are trialled within your consultation to ensure they are appropriate for you at that time.

This may consist of strengthening and/or stretching exercises appropriate for the rehabilitation of your pain or injury. As some injuries or pains are ongoing or have been present for months or even years, home exercises allow for improvement to continue further between physiotherapy appointments. The more recovery we can produce at home, the less you will need to see us in the clinic!

Do you accept Private Health Insurance (PHI)

Yes, if you forget your PHI card, we can email or print your receipt so you can claim with your PHI. All the details you need for claiming are listed on your receipt.

Do I need a referral from my doctor to attend your practice?

No, generally you do not need a referral from your doctor to see a physiotherapist.

However, you do require a referral if:

You are claiming a Medicare rebate under an Enhanced Primary Care Plan (EPC). Your EPC will state how many treatment sessions be allocated to physiotherapy. A maximum of 5 sessions can be approved per calendar year, across ALL allied health practitioners (not just physio).
You are claiming your consultations under Department of Veteran Affairs (DVA).
